Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh
Experience the ultimate horror with Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh
Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh is a horror and adventure game that places you in the role of a person which tries to investigate the weird things happening in the life of Juan Torres. You will need to visit El Chacal, a small village in Argentina. Numerous people are disappearing and lots of strange things are happening, so you are the only one that can stop this to make things go back to normal.
Easier said than done unfortunately, because there are plenty of legends in the region, all about cannibalism, sects and superstition, but the bad thing here is that most of them turn out to be true.
I have to say, Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh does manage to bring in front a heart ponding experience all the time, because not only does it manage to bring in front a cool set of gameplay mechanics, but it’s also fun to play with all the time.
The game is quite scary to be honest, but that on its own should not be a problem, as you do need to stay alert in order to remain alive. The title can be stressful at times, because death and cannibals can appear at every corner, but the entire experience as a whole is what makes Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh so exciting, as you don’t know what will happen.
The production value could have been a little better, but Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh does manage to bring in front a very good atmosphere and a great set of mechanics that you can enjoy. It’s just a pleasure to play and manages to bring in front a whole bunch of great mechanics which are funny and really exciting as a whole.
The game is not only scary, but the story, despite its limitations, does manage to impress from time to time, only adding to the sense of fear and impact!
Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh is not the best looking horror game out there, but on the other hand it manages to create a dark atmosphere that brings in front a very good experience all the time. It’s relaxed, fun and filled with plenty of unique moments, but at the same time it’s a refined game with a whole lot of stuff going for it.
I like the game and its music just because it makes a great atmosphere that you feel it’s done right all the time. It’s amazing how impressive the entire gameplay really is, and the fact that you can enjoy the overall way things are made only manages to make everything more cool and exciting which is a major plus.
As a whole, I am impressed with Doorways: Holy Mountains of Flesh, because despite its flaws, this is a solid game with a ton of stuff to offer, so you should definitely see to it, it’s a great experience.
