Into the Dark

Into the Dark: Ultimate Trash Edition is pop culture at its best with cool jokes, insane gameplay mechanics and a lot of fun.

Into the Dark: Ultimate Trash Edition might consider this title a great blend of multiple genres, but what it does is that it fully manages to immerse yourself into a different, yet fun and attractive world. What I like about this game is that it has tons of jokes in it so you can easily come in for a laugh if you so desire. The game also manages to offer an interesting insight into the current pop culture of the US citizens, however it’s not to be taken seriously.

The production value isn’t that high here but the game is inexpensive and that on its own clearly shows as you play. The story is quite bad to be honest and I did expect more from this interesting game. The issue is that the more you play, the harder it will be for you to figure out what happens, so you won’t really care about the story anyways. Instead this is a blend of multiple things that create the current pop culture and all of these are added without any order and comprehension. The game is not bad, as there are quite a lot of funny moments to be had here, however it could have been better if the jokes were of a higher quality.

At least you have the pop culture references which are the meat and bone of the game. I don’t particularly like the graphics and the way they handled them, but the reality is that the entire experience is designed with ease of use in mind so you might enjoy how the game looks and handles.

Graphics aren’t that great in this game but they can be ok for those that don’t really pay a lot of attention on this kind of stuff to begin with. I did like the fact that they don’t take themselves seriously with the game because the title is indeed filled with jokes and the entire experience is laid back.

I think this is the main problem with the game, the fact that it doesn’t really come with a real challenge as that can be very bad just about all the time.

While the moments in the game are not that exciting to begin with, the reality is that this can be an extraordinary, laid back experience with a lot of fun to be had if you are in the right mood. Overall, the game is funny and dorky, so if you want a little relaxing time and you enjoy laughing off in a fun way, this title can be a great time investment, otherwise you can find others to check out!
