Soul Grabber brings in the excitement of action packed beat-em-up games with the beauty of a dungeon crawler. What you get is a unique, intense and immersive game that you can play over and over!
When I started to play Soul Grabber I didn’t know what to expect. Right off the bat the game knows exactly what it wants to do and you will see that it’s very immersive and fun to play. Basically, you are in control of a soul that can easily transfer from one body to the next one. You will accumulate experience and various items as you go along, but the idea is that you can easily possess any new target if you so desire.
The way Soul Grabber was created is all about adding in random dungeon crawling. The dungeons are randomly generated, and this does add quite a lot to the excitement of this experience. That means the game always surprises you and you will not know what to expect.
There are 3 game worlds in total to explore and each one comes with its own set of challenges and explorations. At the same time, there are multiple enemy types that you can take control of. That’s really special, and it just makes the game a lot more intense and funny because of it.
Soul Grabber is in Early Access at the time of this writing, but even so there aren’t a lot of bugs. The animations may need a bit more work, but the graphics style is really special and the gameplay experience is extremely immersive. That really goes to show the unique mechanics in this game are nothing short of amazing and even right now you have a very polished and fun experience.
Maybe the thing that makes Soul Grabber special for me is that you can build up your own story. You aren’t set to play as a single character. You are always in control and you can play as multiple characters if you so desire. That always puts you in control and in the end it just makes things really special.
It’s the intensity of the game that I enjoy the most here. While you can go from one body to the next without that much of a hassle, it’s the uniqueness of the entire experience that pays off immensely in the end. The idea is to know how and when to possess new bodies and to do that in order to protect yourself. It’s quite strategic if you think about it.
The game does have a while to go until it will be fully immersive and completed the way the creators intended. But when all is said and done, Soul Grabber is very good and it does offer a lot of great moments. At this price, it’s a steal and you have lots of content to play through. The graphics are nice, and the game idea on its own is unique. It really is well worth your time and effort!
